how to switch ms word narrator off

How do I can switch off MS Word 2003 narrator or whatvere it's called, what
tries to tell words aloud.
Programs/accessories/accessibility/narrator didn't solve the problem.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion.
It doesn't help, one has to remember to turn speakers off when opening a
word document or else others may think that this foreign language moaning
like sounds come from a porn site.
I spent an hour trying to figure out where it comes from and how to stop
this sound but without any success.

narrator is part of Windows XP. Hold down the Windows key and press "U".
