How to syncronize project resources with project server users

Hi all,

This is the scenario:
Project Server 2003 installed in a Single PC
Project Professional 2003 installed on the client.

I created a new project using Project Pro, and I associated it some resources
(specifying the Active Directory User account for each one). Next I assigned
tasks to resources, and I created a user for each resource into Project Server
(using Web Access Administration panel), always using the Active Directory
user account.

The problem is that when the resource browses Project Web Access (using his
workstation, so using his Active Directory User), he cannot see his tasks
list in the Tasks page.

So... what's wrong?
Is there something else to do to connect a project resource to a Project
Server User Account?

To fix your current problem:

1) Add everyone you added as users through PWA to a blank project plan using
the exact same names and Windows accounts. Save and close as an mpp file to
your local drive.
2) While connected to Project Server, in Project Pro, click Tools >
Enterprise Options > Import Resources to Enterprise, point to the plan
containing the resources and follow the dialog instructions to import the
resources. This should synch things up.

For the future:

You need to learn how to use the application correctly. First you build the
enterprise resource pool, then you build teams for your projects using the
build team tool, and finally you assign your team members to tasks. This is
the gist of how to work with Project Server. I strongly suggest you seek
some training if your company will grant you a budget for it.
