how to transfer one section from one document?

I'd like to take section from one document and transfer it to another one as
new section or as replacement of existing one preserving all formatting.

Highlight the desired text.
Ctrl + X to cut the text
Place your cursor where you want the text to be placed
Ctrl + V to paste the text in the new location
