How to transfer Outlook files from XP -Pro to 2000-Prem?

Trying to transfer the Contacts folder (with many sub-folders) and Inbox
folder (also sub-divided) from one computer running Windows 2000 Prof. and
Outlook (Office XP Prof) to another running ME and Office 2000 Prem.'
Outlook. Export the files as .pst, but cannot import them. Get a "personal
Folders" message " Properties for this information service must be defined
prior to use" and "Contacts.pst could not be accessed. Access denied." Files
had "read only" boxes unchecked prior to copying to a CD for transfer. What
else needs to be done? Using the "comma separated" option does not allow for
inclusion of sub-directories. Help!

Don't bother with importing and exporting stuff. Simply transfer your
pst-file from one computer to the other and connect to it by File-> Open->
Outlook Data File...
