How to transfer the Ownership of a project

A

Amir S.

Hi everyone...

I am a PM assistant and have made a project on my own machine and the
project is now "owned" by me, such that all notifications and request
for task update approvals are sent to me. I want all this "ownership"
and control of the project to be transfered to the PM. How can this
be done?

Thanks,
Amir

The new PM must complete two sets of steps. He/she must first do the
following in PWA:

1. Navigate to the Project Center page
2. Click the row header for the project in question to select it
3. Click the Edit button
4. Select the new manager in the Owner field and click the Save and Close
button

He/she must then do the following in Microsoft Project Professional:

1. Open the project in question
2. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
3. Select the "Become the manager for these tasks" option
4. Click OK

The first set of four steps will set the new manager as the official Owner
of the project. The second step of four steps will cause Project Server to
redirect all task updates to the new PM. Hope this helps.

Please reference the posting "Transfering Managerial Control of a Project"
that was made just yesterday (11/4). It should help you out.

Cheers!
