How To Turn Off Auto-Capitalize After "a.m." and "p.m.?"

Treoramma

Hello! Thanks for everyone's help; this usergroup has really been a
great education for me.

Here is my next issue:
I notice when typing an e-mail in Entourage that the program
automatically capitalizes whatever letter comes after the period in
'a.m.' or 'p.m.' So if I want to type "10 a.m. in the morning."
Entourage automatically changes it to "10 a.m. In the morning." It
must think that the period after 'a.m.' or 'p.m.' is the end of a
sentence.

How do I get Entourage to stop this auto-capitalization? Ideally, I'd
like it to still auto-capitalize after the end of a real sentence, but
not after 'a.m.' or 'p.m.' However, if I have to turn off
auto-capitalization alltogether, then that'd probably work too.

Many thanks,

You can turn off all auto-capitalisation under 'Autocorrect..." under the
Tools menu.

You can turn off all auto-capitalisation under 'Autocorrect..." under the
Tools menu.

You also can add a.m., p.m., and other abbreviations by clicking the Tools/
Auto-Correct / Exceptions button. Works for me.

You could turn off or add to list, but for me since 11.2.3, you have to
do it after every restart of the application. The Auto-Correct settings
reset themselves or don't recognize added items once the application
have been shut down and restarted.

Also I have never sent so many crash reports in my life. I hope they
are reading them.
