I would like to turn my tool bars off in start up. If I do this how can I
retrieve the start up box once I have turned the menu bar off or can you?

Thanks in advance...Jen

Holding down the Shift key while opening the database will bypass the
Startup options and get you back in.

Hi, Jennifer.
how can I
retrieve the start up box once I have turned the menu bar off or can you?

Unless Access user-level security is implemented to prevent it, all you have
to do to bypass the startup settings (including the lack of default menus and
toolbars) is to press the <SHIFT> key while opening the database and continue
holding this key down until the database is completely open. Be aware that
some of your users may already know this trick, too.

HTH.
