How to type fractions?

B

Bill Smith

I have Word 2000 and can type fractions by using Insert/Field/Equations&
Fractions/Eq and using EQ \f(a,b) where a is the top number and b the lower
number.
But a friend of mine has Word 2002 and he can't use the above method ..and
gets the nod that he needs to install Microsoft Office XP.

Any thoughts as to why friend cannot do fractions using Word 2002?

Thanks,
Bill

Not at all -- that field works in all versions of Word from 2.0 through
2003.

What's the exact wording of the error message?
