How to Type on Forms

I often get A4 forms to fill-in, I used to have a program that allowed the
PC to print my answers on the actual form in the relevant box, but I
uninstalled it, and can’t remember its name, does anyone know what its
called, there is only one program that does that I think, it’s a free
standalone program, not a plug-in for MS Office suite.

Procedure was;
1 Scan form, front and back.
2 Load scanned image into program.
3 Highlight answer boxes, with tool similar to Graphic applications
cropping tool.
4 Type answers to form, into the highlighted boxes.
5 Load original form into printer, hit print, reload original form other
side up to print other side of form,.(only if your printer is not a double
sided one hit wonder, most home printers are only single side printing)
5a Program also has the option to reprint the form with your answers on
your own paper, instead of the original form, this option generally not used
as most authorities wanted their own original form returned with your answers.

I originally got it from PC Utilities Plus (UK) magazine cover DVD, I think,
but can’t find it in their index, or online.

PS: It wasn’t Miraplacid Form Pro

Miraplacid, as far as I know won't let you print on the original form.

Yes it does, you can print on the original form, just load a blank
background, before you print.

Miraplacid Form Lite Edition version 2.1(Free) is the free version.

Miraplacid Form Lite Edition
is simplified version of Miraplacid Form. You still can create a form from
scanned image, add fields with mouse, fill it out and print. You can save
form layout and fill the form again later.

Following features are missing in the Lite Edition:
In Form Designer:
Multi-Select - you can select multiple fields and do group operations like
size, align and delete only in Professional Edition
Form Rotation
In Form Viewer:
Save data you filled in to CSV file
Populate form with data from CSV file
Bind data columns to firm fields
Auto fill form from CSV file, print form page for each record of CSV file
(Print All command).
Miraplacid Form requires Microsoft DOTNET runtime.

OS supported: Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/2003 with DOTNET runtime
DOTNET Runtime version: 1.0 or 1.1

Print on Original Form.

The Print on Original Form option is available Miraplacid
Form 2.3 and later.

You can change layout property "PrintBackground" from
"Yes" to "No" in the property sheet on the left (click
somewhere on a form outside the fields to see layout
properties). It will print form fields but will not print the
background image

Alternatively, you can turn it off in Miraplacid Form viewer
- see "Print Background Image" intem in the File menu.
