How to "unblock" attachment

Outlook2003 has blocked a .mdb file which I need to work on this weekend.
The sender has left for the weekend so I can not follow the instructions
indicated in Outlook2003 for renaming attachments before sending them.

I tried adjusting the security levels but Outlook continues to block the
file. Is the file on my computer somewhere that I can retrieve it manually?
Or, how else can I get this file since Outlook has already removed the
message from my mail server?

Thanks for all comments/tips.

I simply use Netscape mail or some other mail client to access the
server to receive the mail. If you run the old old version of OWA on the
server it will also allow you to save the file. I have not performed
any registry diving but am certain that you will find your answer there.

I found an article about modifying the registry to allow files with the same
..xxx filename to be accessed. The file was downloaded, so I couldn't get it
from my server, and it was stored on my computer, I just didn't know where.
After changing the registry I rebooted and was able to access the desired
file.

I wish I could remember where I found the registry editing information for
anyone else trying to overcome this problem, but I don't. I don't think I
found it searching through Microsoft's KB, but at some other experienced
user's web page. The modification involved adding a key "Level1Remove" with
the value of the 3 letter extension you want to receive filetypes of. (ie
..mdb,.exe). Searching for "Level1Remove" will probably locate the
instructions on exactly how to do this. The string ".mdb,.zip,.exe" has
special requirements regarding spaces and commas which I don't remember.
(The strings shown here may be incorrect. I only added ".mdb" so I wasn't
concerned with commas at the time.)

I hope this proves to be useful for others out there.

You will need to add a new string value to
HKCurrent_User\software\microsoft\office\11.0\outlook\security called
Level1Remove. From a fresh install it doesn't exist.

Then modify the value and add the file extensions to release e.g. .lnk

Hope this helps.
