how to unencode files and remove "autoexec"

Long sad story made as short as possible. I volunteered
for a research protocol in a dc hospital for 6 months.
While I was gone, boyfriend had access to my computer. I
thought everything between us was ok. Since I've been
home (about 6wks) im finding this not to be true. But
proud of myself for learning so much about my computer
myself but he's killing me. He claims he's not doing or
has not done anything but how does it happen? Files are
in the history which I know I havent looked at. There
are "cookie" folders which I cannot open because it says
they are unsupported or not the right text. When I
finally realized how to check the properties, they are
encoded in "western european, unicode, or others" and now,
he has some that that are digitally encrypted. It is
affecting my files. I got blocked from AOL yesterday b/c
of a supposed "porn" email that was sent from MY acct I
have been finding personals that he claims he didnt do. I
NEED to get these folders and files unencoded or
encrypted. I am on disability and even took the computer
to a man who charged me $300 to take it apart and spent 2
1/2 hrs to basically tell me my boyfriend was a liar and
that my computer had a few viruses but it seems to run
worse since he's had it. Could he have done something to
it? I have been to about 20 web sites Ive pulled up all
kinds of information but now Im tired. Any kind of help
or information or even sympathy anyone could offer would
be greatly appreciated. I know this isnt exactly the
technical questions that are supposed to be here but im
running out of resources . thank you
