How to update appointment with vCalendar/iCalendar files

Hi,

I'm trying to update an appointment that was created from an iCalendar file,
which has the same UID but a lower sequence number, but outlook just makes a
new appointment instead of updating the old one...

How can I do this with a v/iCalendar file?
