How to update dropdownfields connected to xml-data

Hello,
I use webbased InfoPath 2007 forms which will be executet on a MOSS07.
In this forms there are some dropwdown fields which are connected to a
secondary xml data source. In dependency of users choice in a first dropdown
field it might be, that the XML datasource, and therefore the data for the
second dropdown field, changes.
How is it possible to update the xml datasource automatically or via a
button after a dropdown field is choosen?
Unfortunately all my tryouts failed :-(
