how to update look up table?

Hi all,

I have a excel program which uses a look up table to insert a value
in a cell when a code is entered in an adjacient cell the price per
item now needs to be updated in the look up table but im having
probs doing it.
Can anybody help or point me in the right direction how to do it please

It is nor quite clear what you intend to do, but maybe it is something
along these lines:

prod descr org price used price code descr2 man price
p2 prod2 16 16 p3 prod3 19,5
p3 prod3 18 19,5
p4 prod4 20 20
p5 prod5 22 22

Formula in column "descr2":
=IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP($F$2,$A$2:$D$5,2,FALSE)),"",VLOOKUP($F$2,$A$2:$D$5,2,FALSE))
Formula in col "used price" and down: =IF($F$2=A2,$H$2,C2)
