how to update PowerPoint 2000

I have a new laptop that came with Microsoft Office Basic
Edition 2003. I have a previously purchased version of
PowerPoint 2000, which I installed on the laptop.

I have installed the updates to Office 2003, but am not
sure how to update PowerPoint 2000, since it looks like
the updates are for the entire "Office 2000" suite. If
I install update for Office 2000, will they interfere
with Office 2003 software?
