How to upgrade from Office v. X for Mac??

I have Office v.X for Mac, 10.1.4 (Word, Entourage) and 10.1.5 (Excel,
Powerpoint) and have seen that update versions have been posted
(11.2.4, for ex.). But when I download them and try to run the
installer, it tells me it can't find any Office apps to update. How do
I update?? I am using a MacBook Pro 2.0 Ghz 15", running Mac OS
10.4.6. Do I need to buy Office 2004 for Mac first? And if I buy it,
what version is currently shipping in the box?

Okay, so I just found the 10.1.6 update for Office v.X for Mac. But
what really IS the difference between Office v. X and Office 2004 for

There are a number of new features and enhancements, which, depending on
your needs, might make the upgrade more than worthwhile. Have a look at the
