How to upgrade to ofice 2000? I currently run Window98, Office97

I am currently running Window98 and Office97 on this fairly old computer.

Its speed and memory cannot support Window XP.

I am thinking of running Office 2000.

Will I need to upgrade to Window 2000 before I can upgrade to Office 2000?

Also, when can I get a good deal on Office 2000?

You're asking this question a few years too late.

A VERY quick Goggle search yielded your answers. Office 2000 will run on Win
98. You will need at least a 166 Pentium processor, at least 64 meg of RAM,
and approx 500 meg of available hard disk space. All of this (except for the
processor) changes depending on the version of Office you get.

As for the best price, you're going to have to look in eBay or something of
the like. By the time it's all done, you still have an old computer whose
resources are being pushed to its limits and a version of Office that is no
longer being supported. I'd suggest saving your money for a new computer.
You know they finally broke the 1GHz speed in processors, right? ;-)

The OP has already said he's on a really old computer and XP is not an
option. That means Office 2003 is not an option.

Depending on the age of his system, it may be an option but at this point
there's too much information he hasn't said.

Your questions seem to be answered so it's your turn to answer one, why do
you want to run Office 2000? What specifically will Office 2000 do for you
that Office 97 won't?

Just curious, thanks for any response.
