How to upload hidden folders

I see lots of questions about the themes then the answer is to upload the hidden _themes files. I cannot get them to show up on the remote server when I want to move them onto the destination server. How do I get these files to upload onto the server?

HI! can you see other hidden file on you remote server.? if not then maybe
access to hidden view is disabled.
if you can an you see the files that you want to send then maybe you need to
refresh the site or its cache is busy and needs time to refresh. ( I hade
this problem ).

if they are not showing up on the remote try another method to see if they
are really there. ( use windows explorer) if you can. also make sure you
refresh it.

aren't they automatically published when you go File > Publish....otherwise
there's not point having hidden files. but you can unhide them....somewhere there
is a command for this either in Fronptage (hint, anybody?) and/or Windows (under
folder options).

Incorrect
- FP hidden folders are published (some files in them may be marked as do not publish)
