PS
If that theme uses any graphics (most FP2003 themes do), you will also have to copy all the theme images (referenced in the
theme.css) to the same relative location
| There is some documentation, but it is not what you want. The architecture
| of a Portal is such that FrontPage themes do not work on them. However, you
| CAN trick the portal into using a FrontPage theme -- it's just a small
| amount of work.
|
| IN FRONTPAGE:
|
| 1. Create your theme to look just as you want it to look
| 2. Create a sub site off your portal
| 3. Apply your theme to this subsite
| 4. From Tools > Options make sure Hidden folders are showing
| 5. Refresh the site
| 6. open the _themes directory
| 7. open the themeName directory
| 8. open the file named themeName1101-109.css (the numbers may be different,
| but make sure you get the one that has FOUR numbers next to it, like 1111,
| 1011, 1101, etc.
| 9. save it to the root site as "theme.css"
|
| IN YOUR PORTAL (browse in IE)
| 1. Click to Modify Site Settings (the path is not clear in my memory and I
| don't have portal installed this afternoon)
| 2. On one of the Site Settings pages it asks for the Stylesheet to be used
| for the Portal. Type in the path to the theme.css file you saved above
|
| That's it.
