how to use Field codes in Excel

Hi,

I am facing a problem in using custom property values in
excel worksheet. Here is my requirement. I want to
display the Version No in the footer. how to do the same
using custom properties. I have used field codes in Word
but could not find the same in excel.

Can you pls help ASAP

Excel's closest equivalent to Word's field codes is defined names. They could be
used in conjunction with macros to produce any footer Excel would allow you to
enter by hand.
