How to "use" Picture Manager

The UI entices one to compress pix....so I choose Compress for Documents
option, and the size is considerably improved (1.64 mb each to about 550 kb
each)....but "where" does the compressed picture go to? The folder is still
holding only 3 pix, all 1.6 MB or so.

I'm dealing with probably 100+ pix that I want to insert into a Word
doc...its 60 pages of text right now, and woefully sluggish (so please help
me figure out how to get the photos in without having an all-but-dead
doc)--the pix are 1 to 3 per folder in a(n elaborate) file structure. Do I
have to save the path to each folder...and even if I do, where are the
compressed pix? There doesn't seem to

I'm coming from using Photo Editor to minimize the size

When you have the image you want to edit on screen, click "export pictures" on the
taskpane, all the information needed is in the next dialogue.

Is it possible to resize and compress all the .jpg files in a folder and its
subfolders, without having to open each folder/subfolder/graphic?

Is it possible to perform an export--or to resize & compress all the .jpg
files within a path (folder/subfolder) without opening the individual files?
If you don't have the answer, can you recommend a VB discussion group that
would be able to help?

Might try www.irfanview.com , it has the capabilities to do batch re-sizing. Get the
plug-ins too. It is a free program.
Setup your newsreader to receive Microsoft newsgroups and do a search for a VB group.
