T

Taylor H.

I am in 3rd grade and I am doing a essay about controlling Microsoft Word.

Just ignore the previous post, his inappropriate suggestion requires
registering to use this feature, installing stuff, and basically a general
pain and not focusing on WORD.

Also I think a little impolite and far too complicated for learning the
basics.

Try this instead:

If you have speakers you can hear a person talking to you as well.

Good luck with this, and I hope the inconsiderate answer you got before does
not prevent you from visiting newsgroups in the future, some of us wish
you the best in your schoolwork.

Most 3rd graders have parents that also can help them with these things. But
at least the MS link is talking to them, and does not require registering
and installations of active X Controls (which would not work anyway if this
child is a limited User most likely)
As an MVP Microsoft representative, though you are required to follow a
standard level of professionalism, so refrain from negating other people's
posts. I am not an MVP, so do not have to follow the same guidelines, but I
made an attempt, and your reply holds no helpful information to the original
posting client.

And if Taylor really is in third grade, your response will make no more
sense than Jezebel's.

relax.....

your intention to provide information is honorable.
but keep in mind, that you have no proof that it is in fact
a young person making the request for assistance.

keep in mind that an "essay" with the "controlling" of
a "word processor" is not in the boundaries of 3rd
graders..... They still can't type let alone spell and
utilize advance computer skills.

It is hard to believe that a teacher asked a 3rd grader to
provide a technical overview/white paper of a computer program.

Also, you may not have picked up on the
fact that this suppossed "child" figured out how to find and
enroll in this office newsgroup. Thus, the same skills were likely
applied for finding the office website, the office newsgroup link and
data on word already.

But good for you for earnestly providing helpful information.
