How to insert HTLM code into the head section of publisher? I want to insert
a meta tag from Google inbetween the head and the body without inserting into
another metatag from publisher like the description section of the webpage
options . Can this be done from the edit HTLM code fragments insert box
provided in the insert drop down without having to use the webpage options
section for inserting keywords, title and descriptions.
This abilty to insert code fragments into the head section of a website
seems to be an important thing to be able to do has anyone figured out how to
on this issue?

No you can not insert code into the head section of a Publisher web with the
insert html code fragment approach. The only way to access the head section
is to open the .htm files with NotePad and edit the source code directly.
And of course that is not practical as you would need to do that each time
you modified the Pub file and produced new web pages. You don't say exactly
what you are trying to do, but I suspect that if you go back to the Google
instructions that you will find an alternative to editing the source code
like placing a file in the root directory on your host. Read the
instructions.

If you have a follow up question or other questions about Publisher webs,
then in the future please post in the web group and we will try to help you
there:

or

Always provide the version of Publisher you are using, a link to your
website and as much detail as possible so we can help you.
