Not sure what you mean by "clean up" but in code view you can right click and select "Reformat HTML"
and it will "pretty it up" for you.

I have used FrontPage for years..but never knew about that trick!

What does it do exactly? Remove white spaces or something similar? Just
curious..I would hate to push the old button without a pretty good idea as
to what happens next! :)

Nothing but reformat your html to match the settings in Tools Page Options Code Formatting
- but it will identify some broken tags
