HTML Editor

I set my web browser to using Frontpage for web editing.
However, I also have visual studio .Net installed. When I
attempt to edit a web page visual studio is launched. I
am trying to figure out a way to restore my option under
file menu to edit with FrontPage. Note: I did change the
settinggs in IE under tools->options->HTML Editor-
FrontPage. It did not change my editor options under the
file menu from visual studio .Net. Any thoughts? Please

Hey Zeke,

I had a similar problem, and overcame it this way:

Right click START, then click Explore.
On the menu bar at the top, click Tools>Folder Options...
In the pop-up, select the File Types tab.
Type the letter H, and scroll down to Extensions like HTM
or HTML.
Click once to select one of them.
Click the Advanced button.
Click Edit.
If you do not see Edit, you can add it with the New...
button.
Click the Edit... button.
In the "Application used to perform action" box, paste
this:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\msohtmed.exe"
%1

Please note and verify that the quotes are necessary, and
the space preceding the %1 switch is important!

Edit this path as necessary to reflect your customized
installation. I used my own drive letter and application
path, though yours may differ.

Now, click OK on this pop-up, and OK again on the earlier
one.
Repeat these steps for every file extension type you
would like to edit with msohtmed.exe - which produces FP
2002 on my machine.

Be careful in here - you can jack your system up easily
playing with these settings.

Happy hackin',

Matthew
