html editor

Every time I try to open html content, my system starts installing Office
2000 (I'm using 2003 SP2). I do not have any Office 2000 programs on my
system. I have upgraded several times, from Office 97 to 2000 to XP to 2003,
but I've never had this problem before. In IE, the HTML editor is blank and
there are no available selections. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling
Office, but I still have the same problem. All programs have required patches
and fixes. Please advise. Thanks!

If you really need a good html editor then you can download FrontPage
Express from here:

http://sssd.k12.ar.us/departments/dts/training/fp.htm

This package used to be bundled with IE4 but MS stopped developing this
any further and instead concentrated on commercial version Frontpage
which is now at version 2003.

I do not want another flipping editor. I want my office installation to
operate properly. Everytime I open something with HTML content, the installer
tries to install Office 2000. This happens even when I open HTML e-mail
messages. I do not want to install FrontPage or any other editor. I just want
to be able to open my Outlook e-mail messages without having to cancel the
stupid installer every time.
