html not recognised ( newbie btw :o| )

I am trying to build a website and I have various scripts
which I need to copy and paste(banners etc).Every time I
do this and put them after the correct tag in all three
views normal html and preview all I see is the HTML text.

Am I missing something or just a simple person.

Please help me I hate these PC niggles (

You do this in code or html view.
Your missing a tag at the beginning or end.
Try putting a <p> at the beginning and a </p> at the end.
Post the code if your still having problems.
