BTW, it's not considered polite to change the format of emails like

This is actually a real question. I received such an email and I have a
friend sends me email using animated Incredimail critters (so large you
have to search for the email text) and a bloated image of Cher. The size
of the email is over 500 kb. The email message? Usually something like
"Watcha doing?" or "Call me!" and lemme tell ya, whether it's considered
impolite or not my reply is in plain text. Mainly so I can actually read
their email and know what I'm replying to. <grin> (and there's the fact I
refuse to send bloated emails.)
