How can I respond in "HTML", to an email that was sent to me in "Rich Text"?
Thanks.

Depends on your version of Outlook.
BTW, it's not considered polite to change the format of emails like that...

I am using Outlook 2003 service pack 3. I appreciate your comment about
being polite, and am still interested in how to do this. Can you please tell
me? Thanks.

I don't have 2003 to hand, but when you click on "Reply" there should be a
menu item to format the text in HTML

I'm not opposed to HTML but let's say you were sent an email with a bright
pink background, several different fonts, along with blue and purple font
colors. Would you 1) Even be able to read the email? 2) Reply using the same
format?

This is actually a real question. I received such an email and I have a
friend sends me email using animated Incredimail critters (so large you have
to search for the email text) and a bloated image of Cher. The size of the
email is over 500 kb. The email message? Usually something like "Watcha
doing?" or "Call me!" and lemme tell ya, whether it's considered impolite or
not my reply is in plain text. Mainly so I can actually read their email and
know what I'm replying to. <grin> (and there's the fact I refuse to send
bloated emails.)
