HTMLTemplates

What are html templates? and how do they differ from other downloadable templates you find on the net?

A template is set of predesigned formats for text and graphics on which new
pages and webs can be based. After a page or web is created using a
template, you can customize the page or web.

A template is a template.

Downloadable templates simply give you more variety.

Hi Tom.......thanks for your reply but I am still confused as to the difference between an html web page template vs a frontpageweb template or a photoshop web template. All I know so far is that the photshop templates will not work in front page.......at least they wont for me and I have downloaded some that are just a large image and not worth the time downloading. Also some are labled as dreamweaver templates so I guess those only work with that program

Photoshop templates (the *.psd file) are usually, and often provided as the 'raw'
files originally created in the PHotoshop application; they are not complete
sites where you just add your text content. Photoshop these days can export the
designs in html which can then be edited in frontpage or dreamweaver or whatever
editor you like.

You might also get a basic version of the photoshop design as html, but in the
case of trying to edit a psd file you need photoshop to do anything substantial
with it.

Frontpage templates, photoshop tempates and those off the web are ALL html
templates - the difference is the application they are designed in, therefore you
have to edit them in the original application.
