Http-failure , the posting data is to large

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Power PC Email Client: Exchange When i implemented SSL on the exchange 2003 server (push mail and webmail)with a public ssl certifcate, the entourage clients receive the error:

"http-failute the posting data is to large"

-18587

when they send a e-mail with attachment size of 10 kb or more

What is the problem?

This link is for Exchange server 2007, but it might give a clue as to what is wrong.

Thanks for you reply, i searched for de web.config on our exchange 2003 server but it finds only one in the oma dir.

Do you have a solution for exchange 2003?

And also on the exchange server all the restrictions are eliminated regarding message size. Before the ssl implementation we did'nt have the problem.

Regarding the message size : some we put in a attachments of 5 kb and sometimes 20 MB but sometime it works but sometime not.

We don't have web.config file for Exchange 2003 server and as per your
statement the issue is intermittent so this rule out any settings on your
server.

The SSL implementation was done for the IIS?
Do you see similar issue with OWA?
Does that email ever go?

I would suggest to use OWA immediately when you experience the issue in
Entourage and check the behavior

Yes that is for IIS.

Whe don't have the problem with OWA.

Does that email ever go?
Yes the webmail e-mail go.
The entourage e-mails not.

I hope you have a solution otherwise i rollback the iis ssl implementation.
