Hyperlink not working in FF, but working in IE.

I read the issue of 3/9 and I am not sure that I understand.

I too created my site using Publisher 2003 and I realize that the links work
fine in IE and not FF. I just followed the Publisher rules to create the
site. This is my first attempt and I am not well versed in the jargon YET.

My site is http://www.abusinessintention.com/.

If you will be asking what I did. Well, I could not tell you. I just
followed the rules of Pub. I too may have used pub defaults.

I am encouraged by your response that pub just needs to be tweaked.

Hello Claudine,

I have no idea what issue of 3/9 is, so I won't try to explain it. If you
care to write the issue I will be happy to try.

As per the links not working in FF, on the main page of
http://www.abusinessintention.com/ , I suspect that the problem is in the
design. I loaded the page with a slow dial-up modem, and as a result could
watch the different design elements load. The text describing the business
intention is converted to an image when the large border surrounding the
whole page is loaded. This kills the links. I would suggest that you try
removing that border and see if that leaves the links activated. You can
tell that the text has been converted by dragging your mouse over the text
and trying to select it. It won't work if the text has been converted to an
image.

If the border isn't the issue, then start deconstructing your site, one
element at a time, by pulling design elements off into the scratch area and
testing as you go until you find the design element that is creating the
problem. Then you can decide how to redesign, or post your problem and
perhaps we can offer workarounds. If IE is your default browser that comes
up when you do a web page preview, then when you Publish to the Web, direct
the html output to a folder on your hard drive where you can find it. Open
FF, and File > Open File and browse to that folder and open the page that
you want to test with FF. Hopefully, just removing the border will fix your
problem in this case. When you build new pages and use new design
techniques, it is a good practice to test with IE and FF periodically as you
go. Good luck

Oh, and by the way, be sure that you go to Tools > Options > web tab and
uncheck "Rely on VML..." and "Allow PNG...". Those two options account for a
lot of the problems with viewing Pub web pages in FF.
