Hyperlink on a form to a MS word document which is merged to a MS Acces parameter qery

Can anyone help..

I have a word document which is merged to an MS Access paramater
query. I have created a hyperlink to this document on a form and it
appears to work and asks you to input the parameter values, but then
does not bring up the selected record. Teh word document works fine
if you open it from a folder on the drive but doesn't work from the
hyperlink - can anyone suggest how I can create something on my form
which will open this document which is merged to my parameter query.
