hyperlink problem

Hi
i have a table that contains names of files and the hyperlink to the
file
i open the file from a combo box this has worked fine until the server
was updated

i then went to the table and changed the file path in the hyperlink
using find and replace

problem is when i now try to open the file i get an error message
telling me some hyperlinks are dangerous

As a check i examined the control txtbox value of the hyperlink and i
noticed the a hash # is being placed at the beginning and end of the
hyperlink

Why is the hash value there ?
and how can i update the hyperlinks on mass

thanks

kevin
