Hyperlink problems

When I test all my hyperlinks in front page in design
preview in Microsoft internet, they work fine

However when I am on the web I have problems wit
some of the hyperlinks

e.g. one of the hyperlinks called products keeps appearin
on other pages. That is, if I click onto training, my training
page appears, if I click onto training again, products page appears

The same thing happens on some of my other hyperlinks, when I click twice
on them, products page appears

Also I have problems with products page as a 409 error comes up. I've been tol
the address is case sensitive and one of the letters does not match the fil
name e.g. small t and capital T in 'tai chi'. How do I get in and correct that error

Any ideas why these problems are occuring

did you try view -> hyperlinks ? this should show all
your pages with their links to and from them and you can
veify if they point to the right one. you can also check
view -> reports -> broken hyperlinks.

Remove all spaces from file / folded names
- breaks links
There is an addin that will replace all spaces w/ an under_score at

Check your hyperlinks on every page. They are pointing incorrectly. i.e. on your training page, both products and training have identical links. I didn't check the others, but you should.

Beeman -

Just a thought:
When you click on "speaking" the first time, does a new page come up? If
so, check the "speaking" link on that page.

Okay. I will check all my links again (have done this several times)

I still don't know why my links are working of
the web but not on the web

1. I am not sure what you mean by 'recalculate hypelinks before
you republish.

2. And how do you recalculate hyperlinks?

As you can see I am new to this frontpage and phrases and
terminology beyond a (my) basic level I find confusing.

When I try to publish to web I get the following screen u

Do you want to remove this file
The file exists on the destination server but does not
exist in the current website. Would you like front page
to remove it

I then press no to all

I've gone through the whole process by removing all the links an
then creating hyperlinks again by following the instructions

This whole process of trying to fix this problem is like a dog's breakfast - all over the place

Any other ideas on what's causing this problem

I've checked my web and now I have found that my home page has disappeared. I no
get a test page

Also when I check my report on hyperlinks it reads
33 unlinked files - files in the current website that cannot be reached b
starting from your home page

Any other ideas fella

Thanks for the help fellas.

For anybody else who has been following thi
'gone with wind' saga, here is what helped get my websit
up and running

1. I moved the files up one directory by copying and paste
2. Eliminated the spaces in the file name
3. Changed my Index file name to index (i.e. I to i - from upper to lower case
4. Plus I followed the advice of you guys
