Hyperlink question?

I'm working with an excel spreadsheet (duh, or else I wouldn't be here).
I've set up a few hyperlkinks to related files. However when I click on the
hyperlink it opens the directrory in explorer and not the actual file. I'm
using excel 2000 if that helps anything. Anyone have any info?

Can you give an example of what you want to have in the hyperlink?

Let's say the file is in folder

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Pictures\Sample Pictures

and the name is Sunset.jpeg

A1 = C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\My Pictures\Sample
Pictures\Sunset.jpeg

B1 = hyperlink(A1)

That should get you there.
