Hyperlink to .exe in Visio 2007 doesn't work

In Visio 2002 and 2003, it is possible to create a hyperlinkk to an
executable -- useful when you want a user to click a link and run a program.

In Visio 2007, you can still create the link -- you just can't follow it. If
you attempt to follow the link, you are presented the standard "Microsoft
Office Visio Security Notice" dialog. When you click "Yes" to acknowledge the
warning, you receive this message:

"An error (100) occurred during the action Open File. Visio cannot open the
file because it's not a Visio file or it has become corrupted."

I'm assuming this is Microsoft trying to protect me from myself but I don't
want to be protected! I can't find a setting to alter this behavior so I can
link to .exe files.

Suggestions? Thanks...
