I have an Access 2000 database on an intranet set up using
FrontPage 2000. There is a field in the database that has
a hyperlink to a pdf file. From Access the link works
perfectly - I click it and the file opens in Acrobat.
When viewed on the intranet the field entry looks like
this: #\\server\filename.pdf# and the file will not open
when I click it. There is no error message, instead the
url in the address bar of IE changes from the page with
the database results, http://intranet/database.asp, to
http://intranet/database.asp#\\server\filename.pdf#
I have found Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 237805 HOW
TO: Display Access 2000 Hyperlinks in a FrontPage 2000
Web, and followed the instructions there, but the problem
still exists. Any ideas? Please e-mail to (e-mail address removed)
