hyperlink to specific Excel workbook sheet

I have an Excel workbook with a number of sheets related to a specific
project. I'd like to have different tasks open different sheets in the
workbook. However, I can make reference to the workbook well enough, but I
can't figure out the syntax for anything other than Sheet 1. If I'm trying
to open directly to Sheet 2, what syntax do I use in the hyperlink window?
Or do I simply have to create different workbooks out of the various Excel
sheets to which I can create hyperlinks?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I in vain looked for a question on Microsoft Project, which is the topic of
this Newsgroup.
I think you better look for the Excel Newsgroup(s)

Hello pdberger,

Yes, you can insert a hyperlink in a Project file which refers to a
specific worksheet and cell address. Edit the hyperlink address and add
a # after the file name, followed by the sheet name, an ! and the cell
address. For example:

c:\directory path\ExcelFilename.xls#Sheet2!A4

The above hyperlink would open the file "ExcelFilename.xls and select
cell A4 on Sheet2.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
