Hyperlink View Won't Show From Links

T

TAV

I have a page that I want to see all the hyperlinks to it and MOSTLY from it.
There are over 60 links on this page to various documents. So I am trying to
organize it better into sub folders. I got the hyperlinks view to work once.
But when I try to recreate the report only the links going to the page show
up.

Maybe I inadvertently set up a filter. ???????
Using FP2003 on an intranet site.

Right click the hyperlinks view for its properties of what to show

Guess I need more help. When I right click the menu shows:
Show Page Titles
Hyperlinks to Pictures
Repeated Hyperlinks
Site Settings...

All of these are unchecked. I can check all of these, but the only change
that happens is to the Show Page Titles and the Site Settings dialog box
appears.

Any other thoughts?

Since you wrote "(that are valid html)" I then went to review other pages
that do link from and to other html. These too only show the "to' links and
do NOT show the "from" links.

Coincidently, I reviewed my original page and it still shows a link to it
(sitemap) and NOW has a from link to one Word document. Original it showed
links to over 38 Word documents. I have a snapshot of it.

I am just trying to get an accurate viewing.

I know. Unfortunately I do not. Sigh.....

But a thought just occured to me. I am having this problem on my development
site. So I went to my live site and the hyperlinks report shows great. So
that tells me I know how to pull up the report.

When I try the hyperlinks view for the header page to my Index page on the
development side I see NO from links. When I do the same hyperlinks view on
the live side I see to and from links for the header page.

do NOT show the "from" links.

Coincidently, I reviewed my original page and it still shows a link
to
it
(sitemap) and NOW has a from link to one Word document. Original it
showed
links to over 38 Word documents. I have a snapshot of it.

I am just trying to get an accurate viewing.

Then the page you selected from Folder List to view in View
Hyperlinks

No, to FrontPage. But within Windows Explorer the blue globe does show at the
'top parent' folder which contains my header page. The majority of
subfolders do not have globes. A few of them do and these are sub-webs that
other departments access and maintain. I do not see these sub-webs within FP.

does the folder for it have a Blue Globe on it??

I know. Unfortunately I do not. Sigh.....

But a thought just occured to me. I am having this problem on my
development
site. So I went to my live site and the hyperlinks report shows great.
So
that tells me I know how to pull up the report.

When I try the hyperlinks view for the header page to my Index page on
the
development side I see NO from links. When I do the same hyperlinks
view
on
the live side I see to and from links for the header page.

This issue has been resolved. Under the Tools menu I found Recalculated
Hyperlinks. So I ran this overnight on the developement site and all is fine
this morning.
