Hyperlinks and Auto Text

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) When inserting a hyperlink, the program replaces the highlighted text with {HYPERLINK http:// etc.}. Remove the hyperlink and the text reappears. Also instead of displaying page numbers I just get {PAGE}. The correct page number prints as does the hyperlinked text.

You've simply toggled display of the field codes. Press Option+F9 to toggle
the codes off & display the results of the fields.
