hyperlinks do not work

My hyperlinks do not work in office 2007. I'm using Vista Home Premium, &
IE8. I reset my internet options, set my default program to IE8 and restored
from a previous restore point. Nothing seems to work. I think I may have
screwed up the registry or something by downloading Google Chrome and then
uninstalling it. Help!!!
