hyperlinks dont work

hyperlinks do not work in the entire office suite I have all the servicepacks
and updates for office 2003. in word if I type a web address or email address
it does not turn in to a hyperlink. in outlook hyperlinks appear in incomming
emails nothing happens when you click on them, when you hover your mouse over
them you see the URL. offive 2003 has been uninstalled then reinstalled

For the first problem, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options |
AutoFormat As You Type tab | check the "Internet and network
paths with hyperlinks" box | OK.

In Word 2002 and 2003, the default command to follow a hyperlink
is Ctrl+click, but you can change it to a plain click by clicking

Both items were already selected I belive it is the default setting. I
unselected them and applied the settings the reselected them in case somthing
in the registry needed to be tickeled. I have uninstalled office rebooted and
reinstalled office and still have the same issues
