Hyperlinks not working until edited

I am constructing hyperlinks on a form which are stored in hyperlink fields
in the underlying table. They will not work until the user right clicks and
edits.
Since the users will be adding about 900 immediately this is a nuisance.
Any thoughts?

If you are assigning values to the hyperlink field programmatically, you
need to assign the display text, #, address, and #. Details in:

The other issue might be whether you are storing absolute or relative
addresses.

Thanks. I don't know how I overlooked the fact that the adress is argument 2
so what I was doing was inserting the display text. Just adding the pound
sign worked.
