Hyperlinks not working

I've tried adding hyperlinks to web pages, but when I click on the links, nothing happens.

A fundamental point, but it's the best place to start Hyperlinks on your
slides aren't active unless you're running the Slide Show. They're inactive
when in Normal View in order to facilitate editing without taking unwanted
excursions to their targets

If you want to trigger it while in Normal, Control/Right+Click it, point to
Hyperlink in the contextual menu & select either Open or Open in New Window.

If that doesn't resolve the matter for you you'll need to provide more
explicit details about what you're hyperlinking to & what is/isn't
happening.
