hyperlinks showing up as { hyperlink }

hyperlink help

in word documents hyperlinks are showing up as { hyperlink
txt } instead of the normal hyperlink format. does anyone
know why that would happen?

Because you have Word set to show field *codes* instead of field
*results*...

Go to Tools > Options > View and clear the check box for "Field codes". The
keyboard shortcut for this is Alt+F9.
