hyperlinks stop working after presentation being idle

I noticed that if I run a presentation, let it sit idly on the screen, come
back to it, all the hyperlinks stop working. please help!

how do you know the hyperlinks stop working?

is it because the mouse pointer dissapears or something else?

Have you tried wiggling the mouse to make it reappear?
