Hi,
We have an Excel 2000 workbook that basically fuctions as a directory
of documents where users can click on hyperlinks and be redirected to
Word documents on the network. Until last week this spreadsheet lived
on a Netware 5.1 file server, but during the weekend we moved this
sheet to a Win 2000 file server. The documents it references also
moved from the Netware fileserver to the 2000 file server. We had to
change all the hyperlinks to refer to the new network paths of the
docs. Now, it takes forever to open the Word docs when we click on
these hyperlinks. Both the spreadsheet and docs are on the same 2000
RAID5 drive.
If we click on the actual docs they open immediately -- they are only
slow to open when accessed via the spreadsheet.
Does anyone have any ideas? We are really confused.
Thank you for any help.
