hyperlinks

Frontpage themes support 3 main hyperlink types...normal,
active and followed. I want to use a hover type as well
that changes the link color when the mouse cursor hovers
over it so the user can easily see which link he is
selecting.

How can i do this?

You need to add a style there (new) named
a:hover
and select the Format Font button to add the color

Change your hyperlink fonts in
Modify Graphics - the font tab

Thanks a lot for your help regarding hyperlinks in Frontpage. Following your instructions I was able get further towards adding the
hover style hyperlink, but am as yet unable to do it. This is the path i followed: format/themes/modify/text/more text styles
I then have a list of items beginnning with ".ms-addnew" and ending with "th". I have looked through this whole list and changed a
few that seemed similar to your suggested a: hover, but they seem to have no effect on anything in my web document. There are 3
buttons new modify delete, none of which take me anywhere useful.
When following the path format/themes/modify/color i am able to change the color of my hyperlinks, but cannot change font format or
add/delete any style.
I am using Frontpage 2002. Any other help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

The a:link pseudo styles only works in IE and must be in the following sequence in css
a:link - a:visited - a:hover - a:active
Clear all your history and cache

ok....i seem to have it working. But...i put 5 links
in...a:link a:hover a: visited a:visited:hover a:active.

a:active does not seem to work at all but that is of no
consequence. The problem is that in preview mode
everything works nicely, but when I view it through my
browser(IE6.0) all the links appear as if followed, even
links that are newly made and have not been used. I
cannot get a link to appear normal.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your help so far. I am learning
alot. :)

Great! that got it...thx.

All the hyperlinks are working right including the hover
style, but now I have the same prob with the bookmarks.
They always show as followed in the browser, though the
hover style does work with them.

Do i need a diff set of commands for the bookmark styles?
