Hyperlinks

I am trying to hyperlink a document to other documents on other network
drives. but everytime I do this after closing the document it loses the link
when you open it back up. The only way that it will work for me is if I put
it into the same folder. Is there anyway of making the hyperlinks work the
right way? Thanks in advance.

Do you have permanent access to those drives on the network drives? When a
hyperlink is created it doesn't state a drive letter it in fact states your
servername\foldername\document i.e. \\server1\clientapps\knowledge
management.doc. I have linked to three different servers from word, closed
the document, reopend and it was still correct.

I think we have permanent access it reconnects to the servers everytime we
log on. i tried typing in the path manually but, that does not work either.
Do you have nay other ideals? Thanks
