Hyphenation driving me crazy!

Lisa

Grrrrrrrr. When I use Publisher (2000, in case it matters) I get the same
message over and over and over and over and over, I mean literally every 30
seconds or so, on its own AND every single time I make any sort of change to
a document even if that change wouldn't require hyphenation. That message
is:

"Publisher can't hyphenate this document. This feature is not currently
installed. Would you like to install it now?"

The answer is "No, I would not like to install it now." However, Publisher
will not take no for an answer. It keeps asking me and asking me and asking
me! I can't get anything done!

Just for the record, in an effort to make this stop, one time I did try to
install the feature just to shut the thing up, but it didn't take. And, I've
been using Publisher for years with no problem, but recently I had to
reinstall Office on my computer (very boring story, I won't tell it here,
but I did do a minimum install). Since then, this problem has been popping
up.

Also just for the record, I'm not exaggerating how often it asks. It's
getting near impossible to use the program.

AND even if it was installed, I don't want my documents hyphenated.

Any suggestions would truly save my sanity.

Thanks,
Lisa

Have you tried to turn off the hyphenation feature? Going to Tools >
Language > Hyphenation. I know you say that the feature is not installed,
but check to see if hyphenation appears. You need to have a text box
selected.

When you installed Publisher, did you do a RUN ALL FROM MY COMPUTER so that
ALL of Publisher 2000 is installed?

Are you running the latest service pack 3 for Publisher/Office 2000?

THANK YOU! The hyphenate feature was turned off in ONE of the text boxes,
the main one that I was checking, but turned on for all the rest (there are
seven in this document!) It never occurred to me that I would have to check
all of them! I just assumed that turning it off would turn it off! See what
happens when one assumes?

Thanks so much. Now I can get back to work.
